Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Services Assistant to join our team at Riverton District Soldiers Memorial Hospital. As a vital member of our support staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

About the Role

The Services Assistant is responsible for providing essential support services, including catering, cleaning, and laundry duties. Your primary objective will be to maintain a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for our patients and staff.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing and serving meals, managing laundry services, and undertaking general housekeeping duties. You will also be required to assist with equipment sterilisation processes and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding food quality and client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with general housekeeping, including window high cleaning and routine carpet shampooing.
  • Manage laundry services: wash, sort, dry, fold, and store uniforms and linens.
  • Undertake minor sewing repairs and assist with equipment sterilisation processes.
  • Prepare a variety of meals, including breakfasts, soups, and fast-serve options.
  • Plate and deliver food to clients, ensuring their dietary requirements are met.
