Engineering Manager Job Summary

The role of Engineering Manager is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel facilities.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our engineering team and ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring that all tasks and projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.
  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with other departments to identify and address any issues or concerns related to hotel operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a hotel or similar environment, preferably in an engineering or maintenance role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of hotel equipment and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied hours and be on call as required.
