Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $29.23 and $35.50 per hour, with potential for junior rates depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

This permanent part-time role involves working 20 hours per week as an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educator at our PCYCMt Isa OSHC Service or PCYC Barkly Hwy OSHC Service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children.
  • Interact with and effectively supervise children while working as a team to deliver a high-quality education and care service.
  • Acknowledge and support the unique strengths, needs, and interests of the whole child.
  • Inspire a supportive culture of safety in line with PCYC Queensland values.

Requirements

  • No formal qualifications are required, but qualified Educators must have a minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children.
  • Experience working within the OSHC or long day care sector is desirable.
  • Ability to respond to the needs and concerns of children to ensure quality service meets agreed standards.
  • Desire to succeed in an amazingly supportive workplace.
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate or be able to obtain one.
  • Hold a light rigid or medium rigid driver's licence, eligible to obtain an RDA if undertaking Bus Driving duties.
  • Hold a Queensland Transport Driver's Authorisation Card if undertaking Bus Driving duties.

Working with Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
