About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Art Collections team as an Art Collections Curator.

The Parliament House Art Collections are a nationally significant collection of over 6,000 works of Australian art, including the Historic Memorials Collection, Parliament House Art/Craft Program and Official Gifts Collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curate and manage the Parliament House Art Collections, ensuring their ongoing development and promotion.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop exhibitions, programs and events that showcase the collections.
  • Conduct research and analysis to deepen understanding of the collections and inform curatorial decisions.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Museum Studies, Art History or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in curatorial roles within a museum or art institution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian art history and curation.
