Sustainability Impact Strategist

Country Road Group is embarking on a transformative journey to position itself for growth, leveraging its scale, capabilities, and culture as a House of Brands.
The role of Brand Impact Specialist plays a pivotal part in this process, supporting CRG brand teams in embedding sustainability strategy into brands through community partnerships and product initiatives. This involves strengthening relationships with charitable, environmental, and cultural organisations, as well as responsible product and supplier partnerships, ensuring effective communication and engagement within the CRG community.
You will track the impact of these partnerships, develop new ones, and work with marketing teams to communicate the brand's sustainability efforts to increase awareness and engagement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the development of and implementation of Brand product and community partnership strategy
- Strengthen and nurture key partnerships with responsible product, charitable, environmental, and cultural organisations, ensuring effective communication and engagement with the CRG community
- Support the development of new community partnerships, helping to establish and grow these relationships
- Work with each division to help embed and track their product sustainability strategy aligned to Brand goals
- Contribute to the development of agreed individual CRG brand responsible materials strategies and targets, alongside Group Sustainability team, brand design, tech, and merch teams
- Collaborate across CRG brands to develop brand-level circularity strategies and manage project pilots and initiatives
- Work with internal brand teams to integrate responsible sourcing strategies into meaningful brand and customer communication strategies
- Administer the Climate Fund, including application management and coordinating due diligence on shortlisted projects
- Lead monthly product attributes validation for CRG brands, sharing results with relevant teams, including Creative and Styling and Copy teams
Key Capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, fashion (sustainability/enterprise), sustainability, community development, or equivalent experience
- Experience in sustainability and corporate responsibility with a focus on fashion and textiles
- Experience with sustainability communications and claims validation
- Project coordination and event management experience
- Proven stakeholder management experience, including working with non-profit community partners
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Confidence in data tracking, gathering, and analysis

Annual salary range: AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 depending on experience
