This role requires a skilled Retail Buyer to select and purchase goods from vendors, reselling them in our supermarket. The successful candidate will source and procure a wide range of fresh produce items and daily necessities for our supermarket clients.

The key focus areas include building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiating exclusive deals, and ensuring that our clients receive high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure fresh produce items and daily necessities for supermarket clients.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH VENDORS TO NEGOTIATE EXCLUSIVE DEALS.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, contracts, and supplier relationships.
  • Monitor sales data and inventory levels to stay informed about related trade, vendors, and market trends.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma of Business is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1 year of full-time retail buying experience in fresh produce sourcing or related retail goods buying in a supermarket environment is required.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
  • Professional knowledge in supply chain management, procurement, communication, or a related field is necessary.
  • Experience working in an Asian company (China, Singapore, etc.) is preferred.
  • Sensitivity to market movements, with the ability to analyze and evaluate market research data.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective management and leadership skills.

What We Offer:

  • An estimated annual salary of $76,000+super.
  • A permanent full-time position.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm.
