As a strategic finance partner, you will drive business growth and profitability by developing and implementing trade plans that optimize sales, market share, and investment decisions.

About the Role

This role reports to the Head of Finance, Commercial Transformation & Store Development. You will collaborate with Trade Planning and Business Change Managers to create and execute trade strategies that deliver commercial insights and inform business decisions.

You will:

  • Design and maintain robust processes to measure and track financial and operational benefits of trade activation.
  • Evaluate actual outcomes against planned targets, providing actionable insights for future trade strategies.
  • Support building and refining trade plans by providing financial analysis and insights to optimize investment decisions.
  • Conduct scenario planning analysis to inform decision-making and evaluate trade-offs.
  • Facilitate alignment with senior executives to secure buy-in for trade plans, priorities, and initiatives.
  • Act as a bridge between operational teams and leadership, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of trade activation progress and outcomes.
  • Contribute to shaping trade strategies by leveraging market trends, data, and financial expertise.

About You and Your Skills

We seek a dynamic finance professional with a continuous improvement mindset and execution track record. This role suits someone with experience working in complex organizations, simplifying complex financial information for various stakeholders.

You'll have:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification, and relevant tertiary education desirable.
  • Experience creating and implementing trade plans.
  • Experience in a finance role, ideally in retail/FMCG and/or a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience producing and presenting insightful commercial and financial reports, and making recommendations.
