About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Payroll Officer to join our team at St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting in the everyday payroll processing across our three Preceda Payroll databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the security and assist with the creation of Access Profiles for all Managers and Self-Serve Users.
  • Support the Payroll Team's entire functions across all payroll environments we support.
  • Maintain the records and perform audit checks about fringe benefits and meal entertainment payments.
  • Assist with performing administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for staff, members and volunteers by implementing the Society's workplace health and safety practices.
  • Contribute to the implementation of effective risk management procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months Payroll Experience.
  • Knowledge of Awards and Collective Agreements.
  • Ability to maintain an audit process on data held within Preceda, or similar payroll systems.
  • Proven ability to identify and investigate anomalies and follow up with managers in a cooperative manner.
  • Experience managing highly confidential employee details.
  • A knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to work with managers and staff at all levels of the Society and impart complex HR information to stakeholders.
