Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled mechanical designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, creating detailed drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and quote mechanical systems based on requirements from the sales department
  • Convert requirements into shop-floor documentation packages including complete mechanical drawings
  • Ensure new mechanical parts are fully defined, detailed, and dimensioned
  • Provide engineering support for technical queries from production and sales teams
  • Assist with project documentation including ITP's, Project Schedules, and MDR's
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or significant practical experience (Engineering Certificate)
  • Minimum 5 years' industry experience (technical)
  • Working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.
  • Ability to work with detailed specifications and industry standards
Competencies:
  • Ability to manage multiple, divergent priorities, and work independently with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to present a positive, competent image to customers, problem solve, and apply sound judgment and discretion
