Design Draftsperson

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Draftsperson to join our team at Next Day Recruitment. As a key member of our manufacturing recruitment specialist team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our sales team and contributing to the growth and development of our clients.

• Provide technical support to the sales team on projects, ensuring accurate project information is provided to clients.
• Drive continuous improvement and plant layout developments, leveraging your expertise in 3D structural and mechanical design.
• Create 3D structural steel fabrication models, metalwork, and steel assembly designs for various projects, including walkways, test rigs, and shop drawings.
• Develop structural drafts for local infrastructure projects, medium to large machinery, complex structures, and shop drawings.
• Design and produce piping and rotational designs, P&IDs, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
• Gain knowledge of material estimation and control of bills of materials.
• Present project analysis and insights during design reviews.
• Participate in site visits as required.

• A degree or TAFE qualification in a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural and mechanical design.
• A team player with a passion for 3D design and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
