Plant Maintenance Technician

Job Opportunity:
Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintainer to join our team at our Singleton site in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.
This permanent role offers long-term stability and the chance to contribute to the success of our organisation.
The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine inspections and maintenance duties in our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). They will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including production and safety enhancements.
The ideal candidate will have a formal Mechanical trade qualification, proven experience in CHPP or heavy industry, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
They will also possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance activities
- Complete allocated preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned
- Provide timely responses to maintenance issues to ensure targets are met
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including production and safety improvements
