**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team at Australia Post. As a Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering goods to customers across the country.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in their community. You will be responsible for safely loading your truck with cages for delivery using a forklift, completing daily vehicle safety checks, driving our modern trucks between operational centres and customers, and returning to operational centres to unload pick-ups.

The successful candidate will have a HC & Forklift license, a customer-centric mindset, effective communication skills, and be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes, and weights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery using a forklift
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
  • Driving our modern trucks between operational centres and customers
  • Returning to operational centres to unload pick-ups
  • Working on a fortnightly rotating roster
  • Initial 6-month contract with opportunity for ongoing employment based on performance
  • Training and induction provided

Requirements:

  • Must have a HC & Forklift license
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
  • Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less
  • Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes, and weights

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
