Job Description

Job Title: Service Technician - Renewable Energy Specialist

Job Summary:

Vestas is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician - Renewable Energy Specialist to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our wind turbines and contributing to the transition towards a world powered by renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform periodic service inspections and maintenance tasks on wind turbines, ensuring compliance with Vestas' specifications and industry standards.
  • Carry out electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic component replacements and troubleshooting, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of wind turbines and systems, utilizing condition monitoring and remote control technologies.
  • Maintain a well-stocked warehouse and service vehicle, ordering materials, tools, and spare parts as needed.
  • Assemble and service components according to current standards and work instructions, utilizing internal or external cranes when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic trade qualification, accompanied by a passion for developing skills in these fields.
  • Good computer skills, experienced in handling different tools and systems for monitoring work and documentation.
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license.

Competencies:

  • A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety in the work environment.
  • Ability to climb wind turbines and perform physically demanding tasks at heights, as well as in various weather conditions.
  • Open to travel to other sites when required.
  • Enjoy working in teams and communicating with numerous stakeholders, working closely with others in the field and connecting with the wider business.
  • Solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized in your work.
