Procurement Officer Role Overview

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing ICT-related procurements and providing high-level advice on procurement-related matters.

This position requires a strong understanding of government frameworks, including the PGPA Act and CPR. You will be responsible for conducting procurement activities using best practices and sound judgment, as well as identifying, managing, and mitigating procurement risks to meet organisational obligations and optimise business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end ICT procurement processes, including software renewals and ICT labour hire.
  • Provide guidance on procurement-related matters across the organisation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Government procurement.
  • Sound knowledge and application of procurement frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting (PSP40616).
  • Understanding of the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) guidelines and sourcing through DTA portals.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with Baseline security clearance.
