About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pump Fitter to join our team at Mt Gibson Iron's Koolan Island Operation. As a Pump Fitter, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, service, and breakdown repairs on all pumps, dewatering, and related ancillary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps and associated equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic work to identify and resolve issues
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime
Requirements
  • Trade certificate in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Current HR Driver's License or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous mining experience preferred
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
