Product Design Visionary

As a Product Design Visionary, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a robust design practice that permeates through everything we do. Partnering with other leaders, you will engage stakeholders across the business to develop and communicate a compelling user-centred design vision and strategy.

  • Develop and communicate a user-centric design vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Mentor and coach your team to integrate design consistently and efficiently, meeting high standards of quality, creativity, and innovation.
  • Champion design excellence, ensuring high-quality products that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Contribute to product discovery, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Product Engineering leadership team to embed a product-led culture across the organisation.
  • Act as a design advocate, promoting the value of design and influencing key stakeholders to support design initiatives.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience as a leader in the design space.
  • Proven experience in a senior design leadership role, preferably as a 'head of' or similar, in a product-centric organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience in product discovery and understanding of the end-to-end life cycle in a product-centric organisation.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual and interaction design, service design, user research, and creating design systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, particularly when working cross-functionally and with executive leaders.
  • Highly developed leadership and mentoring skills, with experience in leading a team of UX designers.
  • Strong familiarity with the Life Insurance industry (desirable).
