Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Professional to join our client's team on a contractual basis. The role requires a strong compliance background and the ability to work in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Management: Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including GST.
  • Ad Hoc Tax Advisory Work: Provide expert tax advisory services as needed to support various business units within the organisation.
  • Direct Tax Experience: Work extensively with direct tax matters, ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborative Role: Operate within a flat structure, requiring strong collaboration and communication skills, as the role does not involve direct reports.

Requirements:

  • Around 7-10 years of experience in tax and compliance.
  • Experience with Australian tax is essential.
  • Exposure to M&A and tax advisory assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Chartered background and/or experience within a multinational business is highly advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in compliance, with additional experience in GST (advantageous).

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is around AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
