Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by Example: Competently perform all duties of a Senior Catering Attendant and Catering Attendant, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in food preparation and presentation.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, train, and induct team members within designated work areas, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to all internal and external policies and procedures.
- Machinery Operation: Supervise team members in an area that involves the use of wash machines and large machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Quality Control: Thoroughly understand and implement quality control techniques, ensuring customer specifications are met and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Area Management: Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met, identifying opportunities to improve performance and productivity.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative and reporting duties as required, ensuring all documentation is completed as per specification and customer requirements.
- Adherence to Policies: Ensure team members adhere to Company's policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, QSAI/Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, Quarantine, and Customs as applicable to the role.
- Flexibility: Work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands.
Requirements:
- Availability: Flexible availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week, on a full-time basis.
- Experience: Experience working in a food environment, preferably in a production or supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, fine motor skills, access to own transport, strong numerical skills, sound knowledge of WHS & hygiene, HACCP experience, good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen, and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
