About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Vero Insurance. As a key member of our Engineering Practice, you'll design, develop, and implement improvements to our capability in Engineering, including people, tools, culture, and way of working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse system requirements and develop technical designs
  • Develop and maintain application software, including systems analysis, design, development, maintenance, and ongoing support
  • Support the application software by analysing and fixing problems as required
  • Perform unit and integration testing on developed code
  • Produce thorough and effective unit and system test plans
Requirements
  • 4+ years software engineering experience
  • Deep experience in Java, Spring-Boot, and REST API
  • Experience in testing frameworks, such as WireMock, Stubby, REST Assured, Pact JV, Jest, Enzyme
  • Experience on React is preferred
  • Experience supporting high availability production systems
  • Willingness to learn Gosu and Guidewire Claims technology
