Quality Assurance Specialist

As a pivotal member of our infrastructure projects team, the Site Quality Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that our construction initiatives adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- The ideal candidate will collaborate with our site installation teams to guarantee that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer requirements, project schedules, and industry regulations.
- This includes overseeing QA/QC inspections and testing as per the Quality Plan and assisting with inspections according to Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs); coordinating tests with specialized service providers when necessary.
- A key responsibility of this role is conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- By leveraging their expertise in ISO 9001 standards and customer regulatory requirements, the Site Quality Lead will develop and implement a comprehensive site quality plan aligned with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Additionally, they will promote a culture of quality within the site team, fostering a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work.
Key Qualifications:
- University degree in QA/QC or a related field and certification in quality standards.
- Proficiency in welding inspection, including certifications from reputable organizations such as AWS/ASNT or CSWIP.
- Previous experience in senior or management-level positions, particularly in the construction or oil and gas sectors.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes, and best practices, with IWE qualification an asset.
- Proven track record of working with QA/QC systems aligned with ISO 9001 and promoting a culture of quality within teams.
- Experience in hydro power plant construction projects or the oil and gas sector is highly desirable.
