Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Gardener to provide high-quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Basic landscaping for safety
  • Lawn mowing
  • Tree and shrub pruning, weeding, and removal of garden rubbish
  • Basic irrigation and planting
  • Pest elimination
  • Smoke alarm checks and gutter cleaning
Requirements
  • Provision of gardening services with excellent communication skills
  • Genuine commitment to helping older people retain independence at home
  • Responsibility, organization, and ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Empathy, respect, and ability to work with older people and their families/carers
  • Confidentiality requirements and reliability
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the needs and strengths of older people
  • Aged care legislation and responsibilities
