The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a leading partner for businesses in Victoria, with a strong network of 65,000 members. As the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of the organisation, including business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic input and direction into the planning and operations of the organisation.
  • Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax, payroll, financial and management accounting functions.
  • Managing the financial reporting for the organisation, including monthly financial reporting, consolidated profit and loss statements, balance sheets, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Reporting and presenting major operational issues and performance results to the CEO and Board.
  • Completing year-end accounts and overseeing the external audit process.
  • Managing the capital budgeting process.
  • Managing the cash flow and ensuring appropriate controls.
  • Controlling activities including insurance, governance, property services administration, and company secretarial duties.
  • Overseeing the development and update of all financial policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, with significant relevant experience and strong leadership skills. You will possess a strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and accounting principles, coupled with a keen commercial acumen. You are a self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to effectively engage with non-finance stakeholders.
