As a Senior Research Coordinator - Primary Care at The University of Notre Dame, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about advancing knowledge in primary care. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to provide administrative and research support for our primary care research team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The primary care research team at The University of Notre Dame is committed to delivering high-quality research that addresses the complex health needs of our community. Our team is comprised of experienced researchers, clinicians, and administration staff who are dedicated to advancing knowledge in primary care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the research team, including coordinating meetings, managing documents, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of research projects, including preparing ethics applications, reviews, and amendments to the trial protocol.
  • Conduct research activities associated with the research trial, including data collection, data management, and data analysis.
  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the research project, including arranging meetings with stakeholders, ensuring minutes, follow-up, and action points are logged and monitored.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research reports, papers, and presentations, including preparing and editing content, coordinating with co-authors, and ensuring timely submission of manuscripts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clinicians, academics, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant research ethics and governance requirements, including maintaining accurate records, ensuring informed consent, and reporting adverse events or protocol breaches.
  • Undertake all relevant online training inductions and relevant professional development to ensure you can conduct your duties responsibly.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a related field, such as health science or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in research coordination, including experience working in a primary care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands.
  • Proficiency in accurately recording, keeping, and analysing data generated from research.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a busy primary care setting and interact courteously and effectively with clinical, academic and administrative staff.
  • Experience with or understanding medical research software and e-health platforms, such as RedCap, Medical Director, or other similar programs would be advantageous.

  • A salary range of $77,683 - $83,423 per annum, plus 14.25% superannuation.
