Job Description

We are looking for a talented In-Room Dining Service Manager to coordinate and manage our in-room dining service, while maximizing profitability and meeting customer needs. The ideal candidate will report to the Director of Restaurants and Bars and be responsible for:

  • Effectively managing the In Room Dining department and ensuring seamless coordination with the Restaurant Leader.
  • Maintaining currency of RSA certification, amendments and updates and adhering to RSA principles.
  • Assisting in reaching financial goals for the Food and Beverage department by effectively managing labor costs and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Preparing weekly rosters and consistently monitoring labor costs to remain within budget.
  • Implementing new policies and procedures by developing plans and instructing staff.
  • Identify and delegate responsibilities to Team Leaders and staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved.
  • Provide direction to shift leaders, and staff to achieve restaurant goals.
  • To ensure that the Restaurant and In Room Dinning areas are maintained to a high standard cleanliness.
  • Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.

Salary: Estimated AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per year (depending on experience), plus generous bonuses and benefits package.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
