About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Engine Field Service Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc.
Job Summary:
This is a basic level field service work experience position that requires intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products, customer service experience, and the ability to diagnose and repair engines and related components at the customer site with minimal direction.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
- Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
- Evaluate issues and escalate unresolved problems to more experienced technicians or supervisors.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engines and related components in the field.
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
- Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislations.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Communicate effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
