Software Engineering Manager Job Overview

This Software Engineering Manager role involves leading a cross-disciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions for video creation. As a key member of the Microsoft team, you will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering experience, solid servant leadership skills, and passion for supporting and developing people. They should also be able to consider others' ideas, implement new methods, surface and resolve disagreements, and empathize with users without breaking a sweat.

As a leader in this position, you will provide and receive honest feedback, foster open communication, and advocate for your team. Your goal is to help them remove obstacles, unlock their potential, and improve their performance. You will also guide partnerships with stakeholders to determine user requirements and help your team break down objectives, identify dependencies, and define success criteria.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
