Job Title: Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Assistant to join our team at Costco Ipswich - Brisbane. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility with a rotating roster, including weekend work and varying shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional member service, ensuring a prompt and courteous experience for all customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bakery products, enabling effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Operate oven racks, unload product from baking pans, package items according to merchandise guidelines, and maintain high standards of presentation throughout the store.
  • Accurately record weight verification data, monitor inventory levels, and participate in monthly stock checks to ensure optimal stock management.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed, providing support during peak periods and contributing to a seamless customer experience.
Requirements:
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling cash transactions and monitoring inventory levels.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures, products, and technologies.
Work Environment:

This role involves heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Estimated Salary:

$18.50-$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
