Job Title: Fleet Management Specialist

This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of fleet administration databases, providing administrative support to the fleet team, and undertaking procurement activities to support fleet operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date fleet administration databases
  • Providing effective administrative support to the fleet team
  • Undertaking procurement activities to support fleet operations
  • Managing vehicle insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting with tender preparation for plant and vehicles
  • Conducting annual audits of Council and RFS plant to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintaining and monitoring plant replacement programs to minimize costs
  • Maintaining and monitoring internal hire rate systems to optimize resource allocation
  • Processing minor plant store issuing and returns in accordance with established procedures

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A Certificate III qualification or above in Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain databases and utilize Microsoft Office suite proficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to make informed purchasing decisions while maintaining financial acumen
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • A current Class C drivers Licence

Desirable criteria include a High Risk Work Licence (forklift), General Construction Induction Card (White Card), demonstrated experience in the motor trade, and understanding of asset inspection, maintenance, and control.
