Job Title: Estimator

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated estimator to join our business.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong communication skills, who can work across numerous tenders in the civil sector valued between $5m-$30m. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.

The types of projects include sub divisions, bulk earthworks, general civil, roadworks. Sub division experience is highly preferable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working on tenders
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Preparation and submission of tenders
  • Evaluation of tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
  • Tender negotiations
  • Coordination of tender handover to project team
  • Preparation of budgets based on tender submission
  • Assessment and pricing of contract variation orders
  • Liaison with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • 5+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m+
  • Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
