Strategic Planning Solicitor

This is an exciting opportunity to join our planning and environment litigation practice in one of the busiest regions in Queensland. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated solicitor with expertise in planning and development law.
In this role, you will work alongside an experienced team, receiving mentorship and guidance from a highly regarded planning and environment group within our organisation.
We are looking for a collaborative individual with excellent communication skills who is looking to build their career and develop a speciality in planning and development law.
- You will provide strategic advice and representation to Council in the conduct of Planning and Environment Court proceedings.
- You must be admitted to practise as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and hold a current Practising Certificate from the Queensland Law Society.
- You should have knowledge and/or interest in planning and environmental law and possess excellent negotiation and mediation skills.
- You will also have highly developed communication, organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as the ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
- Your exceptional attention to detail and positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role.
Prior planning and development and/or litigation experience is preferred but not essential. Instead, we value relevant skills and qualifications that can contribute to your success in this position.
