About the Role

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic Project Manager to take on a senior leadership role across three remote Queensland schools.

This role involves providing high-level strategic advice and operational support to Principals and leadership teams, contributing to effective governance and school management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with staff in various areas of the department to brief senior officers verbally and in writing on emergent and critical issues that may require sensitive management and/or immediate attention.
  • Ensuring effective communication, integration, coordination and liaison occurs within the school, with partner schools and the region and with other external stakeholders, establishing and cultivating effective relationships and networks with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Critically analysing, managing and refining the school's corporate information systems and processes in line with continuous improvement practices, recommending adaptations and the use of technology to ensure ongoing alignment with changing business and policy requirements and shaping new policy directions for the school across all financial, infrastructure and human resource functions.
  • Managing significant facilities projects, including negotiating with external contractors to ensure accountability for school maintenance and developing and implementing initiatives for facilities management, asset maintenance and replacement plans.
