At Ethos BeathChapman, we are seeking an exceptional Expert Application Architect to join our team in Sydney CBD. This 4-year fixed term contract offers a highly competitive salary of up to $133,000 plus Super and annual leave loading.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Solution Designer or Developer with experience in designing and implementing application architecture, who is passionate about delivering innovative digital user experiences. As an Expert Application Architect, you will work collaboratively with diverse teams and individuals to create consistently cooperative environments that facilitate efficient service delivery.

  • You will apply your deep understanding of design thinking, bringing together user research, interactive design, and architecture to create high-value products and services.
  • Your key responsibilities will include resolving technical disagreements, simplifying complex technical information for non-technical audiences, and facilitating challenging discussions within the team or with stakeholders.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated expertise in AWS, Azure Active Directory, DNS, Windows, and Linux operating systems, as well as a practical understanding of database systems. Experience in moving bespoke/legacy systems to cloud or SaaS platforms is highly desirable. Additionally, you should have worked as a senior developer across designing the complete stack - frontend, backend, database, microservices, and cloud.

  • You will have a strong background in Object Oriented programming and design, problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills, including the ability to recommend improvements/alternatives in collaboration with other team members.
  • You will be skilled in consulting, negotiating, and vendor management, with the ability to work with diverse teams and key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.

In exchange for your expertise, we offer a highly competitive salary package, excellent NSW Government benefits, and a hybrid working environment. This includes 35 hour working week, up to 24 paid flexi days per year on top of your annual leave entitlements, and 17.5% annual leave loading.
