Job DescriptionThe Clinical Nurse Consultant in Stroke, Rehabilitation and Falls will provide expert clinical advice, organizational leadership and consultancy services within the nursing specialty across multiple service groups, target populations and healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality stroke, rehabilitation and falls prevention and management services
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, consumers and partners within the Far West Local Health District and NSW Health
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- At least 5 years of full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including 3 years in the specialty, with relevant postgraduate qualifications (Rehabilitation, Stroke or Cardiovascular Disease)
- Effective communication skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal, with advanced IT skills for consultancy and influencing nursing practice
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in leading quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
- Clinical expertise and leadership in stroke and/or rehabilitation
- Ability to identify educational needs and develop educational resources for patients, clients and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and communities to improve health outcomes
- Current NSW driver's license and ability to drive for work purposes
