About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Officer to join our Logistics Engineering team at ASC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in resolving obsolescence issues on the Collins Class submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new or alternative solutions to obsolete or obsolescent submarine parts.
  • Develop supportability plans to ensure submarine system availability.
  • Manage required follow-up actions from developed solutions or plans through applicable company processes.
  • Input into the initiation of engineering projects to resolve part obsolescence, including problem definition, risk, and possible solutions.
  • Input into design project requirement processes to address obsolescence in systems.
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders on issues related to assigned work.
  • Focus on developing and leading continuous improvement activities within your team.
About You
  • Experience in solving engineering and logistics problems on equipment, plant, or assets.
  • Strong ability to work through complicated problems in a logical and ordered fashion.
  • An understanding of project management scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
  • Experience in the interpretation of drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to gather, manipulate, and analyze data to provide insight.
  • The ability to effectively work in a team.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • A minimum Trade Qualification, or higher (Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Reliability, Logistics, etc.) or an equivalent Graduate Diploma (Maintenance & Reliability Engineering) with appropriate industry experience.
Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
