Job ResponsibilitiesThe Obstetrician Gynaecologist will deliver high-quality care to women in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive pregnancy care, outpatient clinics, colposcopy, gynaecology procedures, and operating theatre services.
- Participate in on-call rosters, including day, night, and weekend coverage, to ensure continuous patient care.
- Lead and supervise doctors in training, medical students, and allied health staff while fostering a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
- Contribute to departmental activities such as audits, clinical research, mortality and morbidity meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and eligibility for AHPRA registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skill in general obstetrics and gynaecology, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and provide education and training to junior medical staff.
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient-centred care, and effective communication, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
