We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Consultant to join our team in Melbourne CBD. As a Collections Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping customers reduce debts and find suitable solutions tailored to their financial situation.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contacting clients via phone, email, and SMS to assist them with outstanding payments. You will also work closely with internal departments to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies. Your exceptional customer service skills and ability to maintain positive client relationships will be essential in ensuring the success of this role.

In addition to your communication skills, you will possess strong problem-solving abilities and be comfortable thinking on your feet while dealing with vulnerable members. You will also have great typing skills and be able to navigate multiple systems at once.

What We Are Looking For
  • A minimum of 6-12 months recent Call Centre or Phone-Based Customer Service experience (within the last two years). Financial services, collections, or retention experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional active listening skills and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A natural conversationalist with strong empathy and ability to understand member needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Problem solver, comfortable and capable of thinking on your feet while dealing with vulnerable members.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Great typing skills & ability to navigate multiple systems at once.
  • AU or NZ Citizenship, Permanent Residency or 2 years remaining on valid working visa as this is a permanent position.
  • Available to work 37.5 hours full-time each week.
Benefits

This permanent full-time position offers a competitive salary package including:

  • $52,000 per annum + super ($57,980 inclusive of super).
  • Rostering across Monday to Friday, 8am-8pm.
