Assistant Product Manager Job Description

As an Assistant Product Manager, you will assist the Integrated Product Manager and Deputy Manager in budget, finance, and sustainment activities.

  • Support analysis and implementation of product management strategies to optimise Defence asset use.
  • Manage relationships with contractors to ensure timely communication on project requirements and risks.
  • Participate in acquisition program activities and working groups.
  • Provide feedback on deliverables and assist with transition tasks.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools.
  • Experience working in fast-paced project environments with cross-functional teams, ideally from within Defence industry.
  • Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and Defence policies.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support teams through strategy and change initiatives.

Security Clearance:

Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance is required by the Commonwealth.
