RDO Equipment Australia is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Emerald, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for mechanical repair and maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and repairing a range of John Deere Agriculture equipment, including tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, cotton pickers, and ride-on mowers and power tools. This field-based role will involve general service and repairs, as well as major overhauls and new machine assembly.

We are looking for an individual with:

  • A Mechanical Trade Certificate;
  • Previous experience in engine overhauls and major repairs, including electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic skills;
  • A current and valid driver's licence; and
  • A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to work, enabling you to work through problems in both workshop and field environments.

Possession of high-risk work tickets and/or licenses would be highly regarded. If you have the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repairing John Deere Agriculture equipment;
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks;
  • Conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting;
  • Carrying out major overhauls and new machine assembly;
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical);
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A current and valid driver's licence;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
  • Able to travel within the designated region for extended periods;
  • Possession of high-risk work tickets and/or licenses highly regarded.
