Job Title: Home and Garden Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Home and Garden Maintenance Specialist to join our team.

This role involves providing essential maintenance services to clients in their homes, ensuring they remain safe and habitable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have experience in gardening and maintenance work.

The successful applicant will be required to drive to and from multiple client locations daily, utilizing their own vehicle and tools. They will also need to travel between properties throughout the day, working independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular maintenance checks on client properties
  • Cleaning gutters, windows, and fans
  • Replacing light bulbs and installing batteries
  • Installing key safes and grab rails
  • Performing minor home repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Pruning, lawn mowing, and weeding as needed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in aged care or disability home and garden maintenance (desired)
  • A reliable smartphone for accessing AlayaCare (work roster)
  • Own gardening and maintenance equipment and vehicle
  • A UTE/Trailer for transporting tools
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the day
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (NDIS Workers Check, National Police Check, Working With Children Check)
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable populations (elderly and people with disabilities)
