About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our General Insurance Pricing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our company strategy through insurance pricing and customer behavior analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Pricing and Risk Analytics: Utilize statistical modeling techniques to generate portfolio claim costs by rating factor as an input into sustainable pricing.
  • Determine Target Loss Ratios: Develop and maintain large account pricing tools to drive profitable growth and targeted risk selection and portfolio management.
  • Customer Analytics: Create a monitoring framework to track the digital strategy, from consideration of our company to a purchasing customer.
  • Propensity Modeling: Develop models to predict retention of existing business and conversion of new business.

Your Background and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in pricing and/or reserving gained in the general insurance industry (domestic or commercial lines).
  • Tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline - mathematics, statistics, information technology, data mining, analytics etc.
  • Studying and progressing towards a fellowship at the Actuaries Institute Australia; we will support your studies.
  • Experienced in building relationships, advising, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive leadership.
