We are seeking a highly skilled Liaison Librarian to join our team at the University of Southern Queensland. As a Liaison Librarian, you will play a key role in supporting students, academics, and researchers in their pursuit of knowledge and excellence.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real impact on the academic and research endeavors of our students and staff. As a Liaison Librarian, you will be responsible for:
- Providing expert guidance and support to students, academics, and researchers in the use of information resources and digital technologies.
- Developing and delivering training programs and workshops to enhance the information literacy and digital skills of our students and staff.
- Collaborating with academic staff to design and deliver high-quality learning resources and services that support student learning and research.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including academics, researchers, and students, to promote the Library's services and resources.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.
- Experience in academic librarianship, with a strong understanding of the academic library context and the ability to apply effective, relevant pedagogical approaches to learning and teaching.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to adapt to changing technologies and trends in academic librarianship.
