Job Opportunity: Senior Database Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in database management, with experience in optimizing large-scale environments and ensuring high performance and availability.

This is a hands-on technical position that requires a deep understanding of database platforms and their operation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a globally distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Database Management: Manage and monitor large, high-throughput PostgreSQL databases, implementing replication, tuning, upgrades, patching, and backup strategies.
  2. Automation and Monitoring: Contribute to automation and monitoring efforts to reduce manual intervention, working closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams globally.
  3. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Participate in HA/DR planning, testing, and documentation, ensuring compliance with internal controls and change management.
Requirements
  • Advanced expertise in PostgreSQL and RHEL (preferably RHEL 9)
  • Experience in replication, tuning, backup/recovery, and partitioning
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and clustering
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
