Arborist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced arborist to join our team responsible for caring for the city's tree population. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of environmental impact and historical importance of trees within the council area.

About the Role

The Arborist will be involved in risk management, adherence to council policies and procedures, and Work Health and Safety regulations. This includes operating different types of machinery and equipment, assisting with site and traffic management, maintaining accurate records related to asset management, and removing tree and garden waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various machinery and equipment safely and efficiently;
  • Assist with site management to ensure safety standards are upheld;
  • Maintain accurate records related to asset management;
  • Remove tree and garden waste by pruning and bracing trees to maintain their health and stability.
Qualifications and Requirements

We require candidates to hold a Certificate III in Arboriculture or be willing to obtain one. Additionally, applicants should possess relevant combination of skills and experience, including a Current Medium Rigid Driver's Licence, Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card), Provide First Aid Certification, and Tree Faller certification.
