We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Vocational Specialist to join our team at Open Minds Integrated Mental Health Services. As a Vocational Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of 20 individuals, working closely with our clinical team to understand each client's strengths and skills.
- Help clients identify and secure suitable roles and necessary education or training, while providing ongoing mentoring and post-placement support.
- Develop and maintain networks and communication pathways with community members, service providers, and prospective employers.
- Contribute to a culture that reflects Open Minds' values of Integrity, Curiosity, Teamwork, and Respect.
- Background in the vocational service industry or mental health and experience working with diverse communities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and negotiation skills within the community and employment sector.
- Excellent client engagement skills, providing friendly, welcoming, and client-centered services.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently with minimal supervision.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for different audiences, along with excellent organisational and time-management skills.
