About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fitter - Mechanical Technician to join our team at Skilled Jobs Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Diagnostic Skills: Utilize your diagnostic skills to identify and repair faults in equipment and machinery, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
  3. Welding and Fabrication: Use oxy, electric, TIG, and MIG welding techniques to repair and fabricate metal parts, including machinery and equipment.
  4. Quality Control: Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition and meet quality standards.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team to ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and repaired.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Fitter.
  2. Experience: Trained and relevant experience in the trade, with a strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our team.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex faults.
