**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Accounting Specialist to join our team in Perth. As an experienced accounting professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

**Job Summary**

  • This is a 3-month temporary contract to provide leave coverage for an immediate start position.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledger entries, accrual reports, and journal entries.
  • Process and record invoices, payments, and expenses accurately, following up on outstanding invoices and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries for management, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Budget/forecasting support: assist in the preparation and loading of budgets and forecasts.
  • Audit support: prepare documentation and assist auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Payroll assistance: assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrated 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Candidate must have strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • CPA/CA/ACCA qualification or working towards.
  • Proven experience in the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
  • Knowledge of large ERP and Microsoft Excel.
