Job Summary

We are seeking a Chief Innovation Officer to play a pivotal role in driving our growth through product innovation and market expansion. This position is integral to our ambition of consistent product launches and enhancing brand presence across key channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of innovation by leading cross-functional teams and leveraging our established trust and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and deliver the Innovation Governance Process, including all steps involved from ideation to innovation delivery and post-launch review.
  • Owning the entire innovation process, from ideation to market, ensuring the pipeline remains strong, relevant, and financially viable.
  • Drive the new product development (NPD) process, applying the stage-gate model to streamline and control project timelines, costs, and product quality.
  • Commit to safe work procedures and lead safe work behaviours, including matters relating to fitness for work and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Strategic Vision and Analytical Skills: Ability to balance consumer insights with market trends and our strategic goals.
  • Innovation Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of trust, and driving high-impact projects through effective innovation governance.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the NPD and stage-gate processes, with a keen eye for efficient process improvement and commercialisation strategies.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the grocery and food service channels, especially within the Australian FMCG landscape.

With a clear focus on driving high-performance metrics, the Chief Innovation Officer will lay the groundwork for our continued success in the FMCG industry and contribute meaningfully to our standing as a trusted, consumer-aligned Australian brand. Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
