
Principal Curriculum Leader

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Head Of Department (Curriculum) at a P-9 State School.
This is a temporary full-time position available until 17 October 2025, with potential for extension subject to review and approval.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading whole-school curriculum planning and implementation across P-9, championing quality teaching and learning programs, and collaborating with the Leadership Team to shape school-wide initiatives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that meet the needs of students from Prep to Year 9.
- Lead professional development programs for teachers to enhance their skills and knowledge in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate curriculum and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Provide guidance and support to pre-service and beginning teachers to ensure their successful transition into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead whole-school curriculum planning and implementation across P-9.
2. Champion quality teaching and learning programs to support positive outcomes for every student.
3. Collaborate as part of the Leadership Team to shape school-wide initiatives.
4. Mentor pre-service and beginning teachers, nurturing the next generation of educators.
Requirements:
- Degree in Education or relevant field.
- Proven experience in curriculum leadership and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
