Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Production/Forklift Operator to join our team at Manpower Australia. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality steel-reinforced concrete pipes in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-start checks on equipment to ensure smooth operation and identify any potential issues.
  2. Production Preparation: Prepare production tools, such as ladders, stencils, and paint, for the day's tasks to ensure efficient production.
  3. Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to move pipes, reinforcement cages, and materials, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  4. Production Cycle Management: Open moulds, remove finished pipes, and set up for the next production cycle to maintain a smooth production process.
  5. Quality Control: Inspect pipes and address any issues to ensure high-quality output.
  6. Finishing Tasks: Apply labels and conduct finishing tasks, including patching and cleaning pipes, to meet quality standards.
  7. Work Area Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring all tools are stored correctly to promote a safe working environment.
  8. Maintenance Support: Assist with maintenance tasks and report any equipment defects promptly to minimize downtime.
  9. Flexibility: Be flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays when needed, to meet production demands.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Previous experience in concrete pipe production or related industries, such as steel, civil, or building.
  2. Safety Focus: A strong focus on safety and housekeeping to maintain a safe working environment.
  3. Teamwork: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  4. Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance to meet production demands.
  5. Certifications: Willingness to gain additional certifications through company-paid courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  1. Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
  2. Forklift License: Hold a current forklift license, as this is an essential requirement for the role.
  3. EWP and Confined Space Certifications: While not essential, EWP and Confined Space certifications are advantageous and may be required for certain tasks.
