Job Opportunity: Privacy Officer

The Department of Education is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Privacy Officer. As a key member of the privacy team, this person will play a vital role in ensuring the department's compliance with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the privacy team.
  • Prepare advice for staff in relation to privacy management and compliance.
  • Undertake allocated activities within the department's privacy management plan for maturing privacy practices.
  • Support senior and principal privacy officers with stakeholder engagement activities on privacy matters.
  • Review threshold privacy assessments with support from senior privacy officers.
Requirements:
  • A brief resume including contact details for two referees.
  • A letter addressing the requirements as outlined in the sections 'Your opportunity' and 'Your role', and why you are interested in and capable of performing the role.
